Random Picture Challenge

This Random Picture Challenge was started by 4 Little men. Today's challenge is the 11th picture in the 11th picture folder.


It was bound to happen if I kept doing the picture challenges. I knew at some point I would have to post a picture of the cat. This is Lacy's cat and I'm not a big cat person, but she moved off and left him here with me and she won't let me get rid of him. So I'm stuck with Cam. She gets mad if I say bad things about him, so I won't....he's the typical cat.....eats and sleeps.....oh, yeah...and gets in to everything!

My other post was really depressing, so I thought I would just post a few pictures to cheer myself up!! Spring break is only a few weeks away, so everything will get better soon!!!

No Not me Monday

I usually do a Not Me Monday on Mondays, but today I'm not going to....I'm just too stressed and depressed to do it. So if anything has happened to you or anyone you know.....I'll just admit...I did it....Yes ME!! I'm the reason for everyone's troubles!! This is ME Monday.....

I'm absolutely not starting this on Tuesday to automatically post on Monday just in case I forget something. That is ridiculous because I NEVER forget anything!!



I certainly did not yell at the lady from the electric company on the phone because she was not cooperating with me and answering my questions. She did not tell me the same thing over and over and I did not get madder and madder. I did not tell this girl called DeeDee that I was changing electricity companies and I was putting her down as the reason!! And I most certainly did not hang up on her. I am not like that!! I am a nice person and would never yell at someone who is not doing their job like poor DeeDee!! Nope, not me!!



(Mrs. Jenschky, please do not read this part!!) I did not tell Erick just a very few answers on his paper just so we could get done with his homework. After all I'm a teacher, so I don't know how important it is for him to do his own work. I would never rush him in any way!!



I did not have 7th grade girl after 7th grade girl in my office ALL week long crying and complaining about other 7th grade girls that they get along with so well!! 7th grade girls are never mean to one another!! I did not think to myself that they should have their own school until they get out of the 7th grade and that their teachers should be prisoners or someone who is being punished....that would reform those people really fast and they would never want to have to teach 7th grade girls again!! ( I really love those girls...but some days!!!)



I did not have the worst Friday the 13th ever that carried over into the worst weekend ever.....but that's another post for another day!

Saturday Random Picture Challenge

Every Sat. 4 Little Men has a picture challenge. Today it is the 13th picture folder and the 3rd picture. This is mine. I'm glad my niece Carli doesn't read my blog or she would probably make me take this off. This picture is of Carli when she was a Jr. High cheerleader. Wordless Wednesday

I've always liked things that were alike and have themes. For example at Christmas, I always get everyone the same thing, like pajama pants one year and Dvd's the next. I like to have posts that have themes or challenges, also. I guess I just need someone to tell me what to post about. I'm better at getting them done if I know what kind of post everyone else is doing. I like to go with the crowd! For example, I do Not me Mondays and the Random Picture Challenge. Today I'm doing Wordless Wednesday...but it's obviously not wordless today!! I think that Mckmama did this at one time and may still do it. So here is my version. I'm doing this on my school computer, so I don't have a lot of personal pictures on here. So I challenge anyone reading this to do their own wordless Wednesday....and maybe actually do the 'wordless' part!!

Not Me! Monday

Welcome to Not Me! Monday! This blog carnival was created by MckMama. You can head over to her blog to read what she and everyone else have not been doing this week.

I'm not doing my not me Monday for the third week in a row. I'm not that organized or consistent, so I couldn't have done that.

I did not have a brownie two days in a row at a workshop. I have more will power than that. Had I done that, I would have used all of my WW points for the whole month!!

I did not get on to my grandkids this week for leaving all of their snack wrappers in my living room along with an apple core and who knows what else. First of all those little darlings would never mess up anything and second of all....I never let them do everything that they want.

I did not get nervous at all about having to give teacher training for the TAKS test. I know how much teachers love trainings, so why would I be nervous about it.

I did not have a good time at Lacy's baby shower and I'm not excited about her having the baby pretty soon. She also did not get lots of blue things.

That's all for me. We'll see if I can do this 4 weeks in a row!!

Randon Picture challenge

I'm suppose to post the picture that is the 5th from the last in the 10th folder. I got this idea from here. Go there to check out more random pics from bloggers.

Here is mine. It's a picture of Erick when he was on the Quanah Braves....a Top of Texas football league....He had to sit on the bench most of the time because he was one of the youngest and it was his first year. He had more fun than anyone though....he always does. He is the one in the middle looking at the camera.

Lynsi

Yesterday was Lynsi's birthday. She was 31, so it's going to be hard for me to claim that I'm 39 still when I have a 31 year old daughter!! I may still try though!!


Lynsi is a nurse for a doctor at the clinic here and she loves her job. She is very good at it, too. I think she was born to be a nurse. She has 3 very active kids...Ethan, 11, Erick, 9 and Erynn, 8. They are involved in everything....4-H, boy/girl scouts, church, every sport that's available...and she tries to attend every one of their events. It's not easy to do... working full time and taking care of the kids. But she does a great job. I'm very proud of her. This year she moved just down the street from us and we love it. We can help her with the kids and we get to see them all the time. If you see Lynsi, wish her a happy (belated) birthday!!

Not Me! Monday

This is Monday again and I've been doing Not Me! Monday that Mckmama started. Tonight I just have one little story to tell you that I absolutely, positively did not do. So don't believe a word of it!!

I'm the Spanish 3 facilitator for the distance learning class. Their Spanish teacher is in Petrolia and we watch and learn through the tv. They can hear everything we say and we can hear everything they say. So today I knew we had an assembly at 11:00 and our class starts at 10:30. So at about 10:50, there was an announcement that said, would all jrs. and srs. go to the library. My 5 students just sat there....so after a minute or two, I said, "aren't ya'll going to go to the library?" So they all just got up and left. I explained to the Spanish teacher that there had been an announcement and that we were suppose to go to the library. So then I leave and get to the library and there are only my 5 kids there. So I asked them where everyone else was and they said..."Mrs. Martinez, that announcement was in Petrolia....not here!! But thanks for letting us out of class early". Another kid said that that was the best way he has ever gotten out of class early.... They all thought that it was quite amusing.

That could not have possibly happened to me....what am I an idiot???? Am I??? Nope, not me!!!

'ME' weekend

I got to go to Amarillo Friday and stay until Sat. We didn't have school on Friday, so I went early to go shopping. I stayed in my favorite place, the Drury Inn. This is my favorite hotel of all time!! My birthday is next month, so I considered this my birthday present to myself. I also discovered my new favorite place to shop. It's call Mardel's. If you are a teacher, I'm sure you have probably been there and it's a teacher's heaven!! I stayed for over an hour and didn't see nearly everything they had. I will definitely be going back.



The reason I went is because I have one more class that I have to take for my counseling program and it's a hybrid class, which means we meet two weekends during the semester and then the rest is online. This class was held in the Amarillo center of WT, which is in the Chase building. This was the first and the last class I will have there. I went Friday night from 5 - 9 and then all day Sat. The class was not too exciting because it was about assessments....how to read all of those statistics when you give an achievement or IQ test. But I did have fun with all of my friends who I haven't seen since the summer. On Sat., we went to eat at an Italian restaurant that was downtown. It was really good. I won't get to see these friends again until March. We will communicate by email, however. I have made some really good counselor friends at WT. I will kinda miss not having anymore classes after this. I think I could be a life time student, if I could afford it!!
