Erynn

I got to spend yesterday afternoon with Erynn. All of the neighbor kids were gone and she couldn't find Bailey to play with, so she was stuck with me. If you don't know Erynn you are missing out. She is 8 years old and she is a character!! Saying she is a drama queen is an understatement. She talks all of the time and knows everything. Whenever I ask her Mom or brothers something, she answers....even if you think she is not listening, she is!! Her teacher Mrs. Gaylor must have unlimited amount of patience!! She knows if her brothers have homework, she tells if they get in trouble on the bus or anywhere else in the school. If anyone in her class does something wrong, she is the first to tell the teacher. She sometimes gets in trouble for talking but she says it's not her fault...that all of the kids ask her questions about their work, so she has to answer them!!

She is sort of a hypochondriac!! She is always making visits to the school nurse for some sort of ailment. I have a blood pressure machine at home and she likes taking her bp. Yesterday she said she thought she had high blood pressure and wanted to take it. So she locks her self in my room and takes her bp. She comes out with a serious look on her face and shows me what it was....and said, 'Nana, I think I need to go to the doctor'.....her bp was 91/59 and she thought she had high bp!!

We were on our way to Walmart and she says to me....'I have ADD'... and I said I don't think you do, Erynn....do you know what that is?, and she said that yes she does have it and it means that you can't pay attention and that she has a hard time paying attention because she is bored....that she already knows everything that they are doing in school. Mrs. Jenschsky, good luck if you have the privilege of having Erynn next year!!

She always finds something to keep herself entertained. Yesterday, she wanted to play store. So before I knew it, there were sticky notes with a price on it, on every item in my house...including the cat!! I was on the computer and she stuck one on the mouse that I was using and on the computer screen...

One day when they got out of school early, they were staying with Tony. He went to take a nap thinking that the kids were watching tv. When he got up they were gone, so he went to their house, which is only a block away, and sure enough, all three kids were there, along with an assortment of neighbor kids. They know that they are not suppose to have kids in the house when their Mom is not there so Tony ran them off. Well, Erynn was very upset with him and told him that he was mean and she started crying. After he went outside, she immediately called her Mom at work and told her that T-pa was mean and that he wouldn't let the kids stay in the house. And she said as she was crying....'T-pa hates children!!'

oh my, the joy of girls!!! My little one is a drama queen also, so I live the story daily! But....her daddy is her hero and he can do no wrong so usually I just turn her over...more than willing!

Erynn will be fine, just a normal little girl in 2009!

LOL. I can just hear her. She talks all time over here, too. Be suure to put all of this in your journal...........if you don't have one, start one. The E kids will never believe they did all this when they grow up.

I had the priviledge of enjoying Erynn Wednesday after school when she stayed with Ciara and I and then went to softball practice. Gee, I didn't notice that she talked much...maybe Ciara wouldn't let her get a word in...She was very nice!
