Erick doing Dance Dance Revolution!!
Ethan in Science class.
Bailey getting an award from Bobcat Stars.

Meet Jacob James Rodriguez
We finally got to meet Jacob today after many hours of waiting in the hospital. He weighed 7 lbs. 7 oz and was 19 1/2 inches long. He was born at 8:52 tonight. This picture is of Jacob at about 2 min. old. Mother and baby are doing fine, as well as the Dad!! It was a little nerve racking for a little while there...there were a few complications, but everything worked out great. He is already so sweet!! This is just a preview....don't worry I will have many more pictures to come!! :)

Random Picture Post
4 Little Men has a random picture post every Saturday. Today it's the 3rd folder and the first thing you see brown. That was a hard one. I had to go to several folders before I found something brown.
We were out in the country going to look at a house and we saw these deer, so we stopped and took pictures. This is only a few of the ones we saw. I think there were about 20 altogether.

Another Happy Birthday!!
Today is my Mother's birthday. I won't say how old she is, even though I'm sure she would tell you herself. She is a very kind, and loving person. She always puts her family first no matter what. She loves to play on the computer and she even has a Myspace, a Facebook, a Twitter and a blog among other things. She loves her sorority and she is on the entertainment committee that puts on the 4th of July activities each year.
Last year at this time, my sisters and my daughters took her to Las Vegas for her birthday. We had a blast and had planned on doing again this year. It didn't work out for us this time, but we will go back soon.

Spring Break is Almost Over
Sprink Break is half over. It started out all right but now is not so good. First of all the E kids are staying with their Dad during spring break and Bailey is out of town, so it's been really quiet around here.
On Sunday night, my foot started hurting like I had sprained it or something, but it wasn't too bad. Monday I got up and did a lot of things around the house and ran some errands at places that I'm not here for during business hours...such as the bank, post office, pharmacy. I decided that I was going to start walking, so I went to the park with my i-pod and walked for 30 min. My foot hurt a little but not any worse than it had before. Tuesday, I finished up washing and cleaning, hoping to get to go to Wichita for Lacy's baby, but as of right now, he is still not here..oh, well! I went walking Tuesday and Wednesday, but after I got done Wednesday, my foot was really hurting. And to make things worse, my throat started getting sore and by this morning, I couldn't walk or talk....and I really like doing those things!!
Thank goodness for my DVR!! Since I can't do much but sit around, I've gotten caught up on some of my shows on my DVR. I always record Criminal Minds, and all of the Law and Orders. I also record DWTS and The Celebrity Apprentice. And I love March Madness!! So things could be a lot worse for me...actually this is a pretty good spring break....it's all in how you look at it I guess!!
But, I'm not writing this to get sympathy from anyone. These are just minor inconveniences that will soon be gone. I've been reading 98 Minutes in Heaven and after reading what that poor man went through, my problems are nothing. If you haven't read that book, I would highly recommend it. My daughter-in-law bought an autographed copy for me when the author came and spoke at church. I'll be glad to loan it out if anyone wants to read it.
I've gotten a lot of rest this week.....I guess that's a good thing. When school starts back and Lacy finally has the baby, I'm afraid my rest is over!!!!

Happy Birthday!!
I would like to wish my niece Carli a happy birthday. For those of you that know her, you know that 'shy' is never a word you use to describe Carli. Smart, outgoing, friendly...you can use those words, but shy....never!! Therefore, she won't be the least bit embarrassed by some of the following pictures of her... and if she is embarrassed.....oh, well. It's my job as her FAVORITE aunt to embarrass her!!

Not Me! Monday
Here is another installment of Not Me Monday started by MckMama. Here are the things I did not do this week.
First of all let me say that I AM NOT on spring break!!!
Ethan did not leave the door open on Thursday night and Cam, Lacy's cat, did not get out. Then Ethan and I did not go out in the cold looking for him up and down the alley. The next day, Tony and Erynn didn't do the same thing after school. We were not that worried that Lacy would be mad at us if we lost her cat. After all, we haven't lost one before!! And Cam did not finally come home after 24 hours out and about!! I wasn't happen to see him.
I did not tell Lacy that it's ok to go ahead and have the baby now. Because she always listens to me and I know that if I told her that she would do it. After all, she didn't have the baby during TAKS because I told her not to. I am in charge of everyone!!
And I'm not already packed and ready to go when I get the call about the baby. I'm not excited about Jacob....he's just a baby and I've seen babies before!!!

Through the Eyes of a Child....My Adult Child
I found these questions and answers here and thought it was such a cute idea. So I got Lacy to answer these questions. I'm going to see if Lynsi will do the same. If you have a daughter of any age, have them to answer these questions about you. I think little girls' answers would be cute too!! Then leave me a comment, so I can go and read yours!! Oh, by the way....I don't appreciate #4 Lacy, but you redeemed yourself on #6!!!
She always says..."I think you should..." and then whatever she thinks.

Welcome to Not Me! Monday! This blog carnival was created by MckMama. You can head over to her blog to read what she and everyone else have not been doing this week.
Here is my Not Me Monday for the week!!
I did not have a double cheeseburger and fries from McDonalds on my way to Amarillo. Why would I eat something so unhealthy when I am trying to be on a diet. Nope, not me!!
I am not getting impatient with little Jacob. He is obviously not ready to be born yet. He likes it in there. I can wait until he is born and I won't be excited to meet him!!
I did not have to herd cattle yesterday with Tony. I'm not a cattle header after all!! That's just ridiculous!! I didn't hand feed one of them some hay either!!
After not herding cattle, I did not cook fried chicken because it was 8:00 at night and it takes a long time to cook, so I didn't tell the kids to come over and eat. We did not eat at 9:00 because it is a school night and everyone needs to be in bed early.
This morning at school, I did not go to my 4th period class only to find no one there. I then didn't ask the teacher next door if it was 4th period, because I know what time it is. She did not tell me that it was indeed 5th period.......What??? I didn't say, well, where did 4th period go....it's 10:30....and she didn't tell me that no, it is not 10:30, it's 11:30 and that maybe I didn't change the clocks in my office. Well...that was ridiculous because of course I changed my clocks in my office, otherwise I wouldn't have gone to the wrong period for my class. After all....I'm not that dumb!!!!!
That's most of the things I did not do this week. No, not me!!!

Random Thoughts
Here are just some thoughts that I'm having right now.
1. Today is my niece Meagan's birthday. She is 14. Happy Birthday Meagan!!
2. I'll be glad when 6:00 comes today because I will get to see Erynn. She spent the week with her Dad and I haven't seen her since last weekend.
3. Everytime I watch the news it's terrible news about the economy. I always think how lucky Tony and I are to have good jobs. And all of our family members also have good jobs. With the careers that we have chosen, there will always be work for us...my daughters are both nurses and my son works for the prison. The layoffs luckily haven't affected us or this small town much. I know there are people without jobs here in town, but it's not as bad as the rest of the country.
4. Lacy did what I told her to and didn't have the baby during TAKS week!!:) I guess it really wasn't her choice. Little Jacob was not ready.....and he's still not, I guess. Ignacio's friends at Best Buy are having a bar-b-q/babyshower tonight for her. She calls it the Baby-Q!! I think she has everything she needs for the baby. Hopefully this time next week, I'll be posting pictures of him.
5. I need some help. Everyone has cool blog names but me. Mine is boring.....Lana's Blog.....how boring is that. So I need suggestions. Please leave me a comment with a cool name for my blog and I may give the winner a prize!!!
6. Last night Tony took me to K-Bob's to eat. That's a big treat for me because he doesn't like to go out to eat. He thinks that he can make a better steak than anyone. But when I was there, I was sad because I was remembering the times when the girls all went out to eat there every Friday...when we had an hour for lunch. So if you are reading this, Amanda, Neweta, Kelly, Donna, Paula and the Vannoys.....we need to get together sometime and eat at K-Bob's!! Any one else is welcome to join us too!!!
